I was wondering anyone has actually done this before. The idea is how to get the best deal and covers a range of pu erh for drinking (not investment) in the future.
Get a box, Label it by year (eg 2009). Buy different series of single Pu erh of the same year and put it in. Keep it in storage and take it out to drink after 5 years and above. Repeat the same process every year.
By doing this, I think we get to diversify the taste and can enjoy slightly aged pu erh. Cost wise would be cheaper also since you are buying current year products.

Re: Pu Box (by year)
what you describe is (i think) what most people are doing. I buy a mix of puerh from different years. I have cakes that range from 2001-2009 and i just pull out different years and drink as they age. the only this is they arent in a box but stacked on a shelf. I also have multiples and some tongs of teas i want to save for 20+ years
