I haven't had the Yunnan sourcing version of this 2011 tea, but I did recently break into my 2011 self-labelled from Norbu, which I suspect is essentially the same tea, and it was delicious in a delicate floral way, very similar to the 2007 tea that remains a favorite way to introduce new tea drinkers to puerh. It certainly does not have the complexity nor likely the aging potential of a more typically aggressive young sheng, but it also does not taste like Yunnanese silver needle. It is something in between, and quite a delicious tea. It should be enjoyed on it's own merits and expected to mimic either a Lao Ban Zhang sheng or a delicate Fuding silver needle.
