Mandala cakes

One of the intentionally aged teas, Pu-Erh has a loyal following.

Mandala cakes

Have any of you tried much of the pu-erh from Mandala? I was thinking about getting samples of the ripe cakes they produce under their name as part of my next order of samples. I haven't read anything bad, (but mostly because I haven't seen much mention at all,) and they aren't listed on the vendor list. Thanks!

they're apparently good for ripe pu'erh, not amazing, but good. solid quality easy to drink stuff. haven't tried any of their teas yet, but I plan on picking up the $5 sampler of sheng.

Mandala turned me onto tea. I still possess 3 2012 wild monk cakes of theirs, The fourth one slowly gets brewed. It was my intro to puerh and loose leaf tea in general. Beyond that, I don't have much advice to offer on their other puerhs. Ripe and otherwise...

Cool. I figured it wasn't amazing or people would be snapping it up at their price, but I've seen many good reviews on places like steepster (which I take with a grain of salt sometimes,) but very little mention here. Whet you 2 said sounds like what my impression is. I'll pick up the samples and report back. Thank you!
