On 7th of Oct., during 9 ~ 11pm, there occured a 6.6 magnitude earthquake in the city of Puerh, Jinggu area..at least one person died and and almost a million was affected by the disaster, so many buildings and streets are destroyed!

I'm seeing conflicting reports on the magnitude--6.0 vs 6.6. I hope it was 6.0, because at 6.6 a lot of buildings are likely to have fallen, but at 6.0 maybe only a few. Fingers crossed for luck for the people of Yunnan.
