Pu-erh.. old-fashioned?

Even though I don't drink pu-erh often, I do see it around. I'm currently in Tucson AZ and I found puerh tea blocks in one of the two chinese tea shops. Also if you wander down lovely home town San Francisco, some of the tea shops in China Town or in Sunset will have Puerh, though common shops and groceries will not. And if you are in San Francisco, remember, bargaining with the tea house is always a good idea especially if you plan to buy a rather large quantity or variety of teas.
