Then I found a lost pu'er in my cabinet...

One of the intentionally aged teas, Pu-Erh has a loyal following.

Hello.
I was visiting my mother last month and, exploring cabinets, I opened a box of Pu'er (tuo cha, exactly) which I believed empty.
Just imagine my surprise when I found half a nest inside of it.
And it was sitting there since twenty years ago.
I blogged here (italian and english text side by side, with pictures)

And you?
Did you ever find some long lost tea you didn't remember to have stored away?

(by the way, it is delicious)

Love the post, would enjoy seeing some photos of the brewed tea though.

I squirrel away small bits of tea in cups and pots, usually just meaning to air them out for a time, and find them later and don't know what they are.

I never shot pictures of the brewed tea because I use to drink it in small (100 cc) japanese cups bought in Matsumoto. They're light blue, and the tea wouldn't show its real color.
I'm waiting for a new gaiwan, maybe I'll post pictures of the tea inside of it :-)

Enjoyed your story. I'm disorganized, so ya, this happens to me all the time. It's bothersome to find an amazing puer or yencha in a clay pot, try it and be blown away but unable to remember what the heck it was. Guess it's the universe telling me to relax about the quantitative and just enjoy the qualitative?

So, here's a photograph of the brewed tea.
It's actually the sixth infusion, but it went perfectly up to the eleventh, varying infusion time from five to twenty seconds.
Enjoy!
