Can someone explain to me what the blue thought bubble looking symbol with a large S and numbers underneath after QS mean on a lot of the Pu-Erh tea packaging? Is this some standardized labeling system?
I bought a Pu-Erh tea cake from a local tea shop and then did some digging online and found another with different looking packaging but exactly the same the QS number. The reason I ask is that the one I bought from local tea shop was $280 while the one I found at Yunnan sourcing is $46.
It might not be clear in the picture, but the number is QS 5328 1301 0143 on both of them (if that helps).
Thanks for the help!
One of the intentionally aged teas, Pu-Erh has a loyal following.
