One of the intentionally aged teas, Pu-Erh has a loyal following.

2009 Yong De Da Xue Shan from finepuer.com

I received a sample of this, which was very nice so I ordered a whole 500g cake. However I have a feeling that this one is rather red both in appearance and smell. The taste is thin and rough, quite a disappointment.
Does any of you tried this one?

Never have the chance to try Yong De Da Xue Shan. But I own 2011 Mengku Da Xue Shan. 2011 Mengku Da Xue Shan have changed a lot since I bought, from floral to slight mature taste, from light yellow to light orange/brown in colour, taste of dry red date appear with slight herbal note, strong cha qi, good sweetness and good hui gan. I like it a lot. One of my favourite among all pu erh teas.

EoT 2010 Bangwai today after haven't tried it over a year. It seems to improve quite a bit with much less green taste. Nice coating in the mouth and good huigan. Definitely nicer than when it was new.

11 Yiwu Gushu, very clean (almost as clean as latest Mahei)..typical weak ku-se Yiwu flavor with a misty lingering..

Haven't had a such satisfying Yiwu recently..can't resist it. Hmm...Yiwu...

2012 YS Zhu Peng Zhai -

Loads of grain and some barnyard with a persistent aroma in the cup. Great stuff for the price.

11 Chen Sheng Hao-Yin Ban Zhang. Bulang-ish huigan with a hint of ku-se..comfortable on throat, has some ageing for 11.

Followed by 06 Six Famous Mountain-Kai Zhang Da Ji. Typical Menghai Taidi..slightly drinkable than their other products of 06, I think..

10 'Cha Zhong You Yi' - Bingdao + Xigui..taste it..feels like there's more of Xigui in it. Can't find much Bingdao (that cucumber-like cleanness)..

Some 2011 "Mei Lan Zhu Ju" today.

7,00 grams in 100 ml gaiwan.
Two quick rinses in order to rehydrate the leaves.
1s, 1s, 5s, 10s, 15s, 25s, 35s, 45s, 60s.

In the first two / three infusions was perceptible some floral aroma accompanied by the typical smell of the forest, besides some sugary aroma that stayed for the whole session.
The taste is well balanced, with some hint of bitterness in the central infusions, but mostly a very mellow and sweet taste.
