2007 Xiaguan "Mabei" Tuocha - Not the usual XiaGuan taste. No smoky. Light. Quite easy to drink now.
Re: Pu of the day
2008 Liu Bao Raw - I didn't know there is raw liu bao. Taste was quite ok, lighter/greener version of ripe liu bao
Re: Pu of the day
2011 Dayi Early Spring - this is extremely strong. not smoky. bitter of all bitterness. Find it very hard to swallow on the 3rd brew onwards. The good bitter aftertaste lasted very long. This is not for the weak taster
Re: Pu of the day
2003 Silver Dayi Raw - Taste was quite good from 1st to 4th brew as it was not strong then, but from 5th brew onwards it gets a bit tough to drink. Quite kick. This used to be very smoky when new, but the smokiness has now gone down.

2007 Menghai Golden Needles White Lotus, carmelicious & mellow for a busy day when I need grounding.
Re: Pu of the day
How was this one? I think I've had similar, or maybe slightly older (1996?) and I really enjoyed it.auhckw wrote:1998 Menghai 8582 raw
The other stuff looks interesting as always! I did not realize liu bao could be green either, but it makes sense
Re: Pu of the day
People had already drank it many brews before I came. So there wasn't much out of it any more. But the taste of aged tea is there which is quite nice.Drax wrote:How was this one? I think I've had similar, or maybe slightly older (1996?) and I really enjoyed it.auhckw wrote:1998 Menghai 8582 raw

Raw liu bao like raw pu is cheaper than ripe. But when it is old, it can be more expensive. I have not drank raw aged liu bao before, hope to try in the near future.
Re: Pu of the day
2004 Dayi Organic Peacock Chiao Moo - Dry. Bitter. Doesn't give the Chiao Moo taste... hmmm
Also the Nei Fei seems like it is sticked on the outside with the logo facing inside... hmmm

Re: Pu of the day
Gone through Aging Green Puerh - this is what it says in chinese on the large urn containing the loose pu. Taste is wet woody. I coudn't appreaciate it. Too wet for my preference.
Re: Pu of the day
2007 Xia Guan Kai Men Hong (open Door Red) Raw - Has the typical Xiagun smoky signature. Good tea but normal kind of taste. Nothing fancy. The box is nice though
