Hello from the U.S. and Assam, India!

by AssamFan » May 20th 19 4:30 pm

This is so exciting to find such a diverse group with such interest and sophistication regarding tea! I love being a part of it. I am in the U.S., but work directly with the tea estates of Mana Organics in Assam. I'd love to share information on:
- our historical estates
- organic farming techniques
- social and sanitation programs we've spear-headed for our workers' communities
- tea growing
- current flushes
- special recognition teas
or anything else tea lovers may want to discuss.
Still, I am really here to learn as I make a much better student than teacher! Please drop me a note and say hello!

Hi Ryan,
I am from India and also a tea lover. It's nice to read your post. I have personally never visited the state of Assam but I have visited the state of Himachal Pradesh (HP)a lot and just like Assam is in the Himalayas, HP is also in the Himalayas so, both the states have ideal conditions for tea plantation.
Once I visited a tea estate in HP and it was such am amazing experience. Everything was so bright and beautiful and green. The fragrance of the tea plants was very mild and delicate. I even purchased a bag of their finest quality of Green Tea. It was the best I ever tasted.
Whenever I used to brew it... just very few rolled leaves would give a very beautiful golden-ish & green-ish color and also the flavor was so refreshing. :D
