One way I like to do it is pour a little water in, swirl it around, then dump it and the leaves in the compost. You can also use a little tea towel and swirl it around to pull up all the leaves, or even your fingers. You can also try just shaking it out over the trash/compost. Finally, top-rack in the dishwasher works as well!

congrats on the new ingenuiTEA! It’s such a fun and convenient little brewer.
For cleaning out the leaves, here’s what I usually do:
Flip it over your compost or trash and give it a few taps to loosen most of the leaves.
Then rinse with warm water, and if anything’s stuck, I swirl a little water inside and pour it out again through the bottom valve.
For a deeper clean, I occasionally use a soft bottle brush and a little baking soda, no soap, since it can leave a residue.
Enjoy your brews — it’s a great way to experiment with all kinds of loose leaf!

Congrats, that’s a great little tea maker I usually just wait for it to cool, then rinse it upside down over the sink and gently tap the bottom, most of the leaves fall right out. If any are stuck, a quick swirl with water or a soft brush does the trick. Super easy once you get the hang of it!
