Hi all...I've been putzin' around teachat for a little bit, but have never formally introduced myself. I have been drinking tea for a while, but only in bags. I just started getting into the loose, but now have already gotten a cabinet full of loose and teaware to go with it...my husband just loves my new found hobby
I mostly drink greens, hence the name, but have tried others. I like some whites, but have found not to be a very big fan of blacks. I really like jasmine tea (have tried and enjoy adagio's jasmine #5) and am looking for a good green jasmine.
Just wanted to officially say HI!

Welcome Go Green to our forum. You will find much green tea company here, as you have already found out.
What is your favorite green these days? I have really gone for Japanese greens lately.

Well, Go Green, I second Chip's welcome. Those greens certainly are alluring, and there's soooooooooooooooo many to try! But I could never give up my blacks, light and dark oolongs, puerhs.
My journey has been the opposite of yours. I entered the world of tea through the door marked "Black." It took me a while to find out that the green teas that I always assumed were bland and boring were maybe even more intense than their darker brethern. Actually, the few coffee aisle teabags I had tried really were bland and boring, so I guess it just took me a while to find better tea.

HOP,
Thanks for the good thoughts.
The leaping blue carp is still leaping. That's why when you say jump, I leap! I hope to still have some time for teatime after the holidays as well.

I really like Adagio's and Den's teas sencha. I also like Adagio's casablanca twist for my morning wake up!

Three in one day? Don't you ever worry about them going stale?

Yeh, the math works out a lot better when you drink sencha every day ... and for those fortunate ones who don't suffer from Tea Sampelitis ("an irrational fear of more than 30 grams of any one tea in a single location" -Wikipedia).
