My mind is full of tea!

by tea_mind » Jul 23rd, '09, 14:43

Hi all, my mind is full of all things tea. Although I have been drinking tea for most of my life, it is only very recently that I became interested in proper tea. The reason for this? I discovered that tea comes in many different flavors and varieties, and - best of all - it doesn't always come in tea bags!

In fact, I've discovered that loose leaf tea tastes much better than the bag variety...which is why I've been tea-converted. And now I tend to spend days trawling the web looking for like-minded people to talk with, and also for as much info on tea as I can get (this includes everything from growing tea to brewing tea to making tea).

Hello,
My mind is full of tea also. I have a makeshift tea room, the Upstairs Tea Room, where I have teas to benefit charities. I live in Flemingsburg, Ky. and own the local newspaper. The tea room is located above the paper office and is furnished with antiques from the owners of the building, who graciuosly allow me to use the space and funrishings. The tea sets are mine. I love to collect the delicate china. I just want to talk to someone about the proper way to serve tea. I admire the tradition.

Omy, sounds like you have been bitten by the bug. Sometimes I wonder if we consume tea or if it consumes us!

Food for thought.

Well, since digestion is the process in which foods and drinks are broken down into smaller components so they can be absorbed by our bloodstream, it would be safe to say that my brain is flooded with tea. Perhaps because there is so much tea in my brain it, it's gained sentience, and forces me to order more tea, so it doesn't get lonely, and can make itself stronger. :|

Thanx for the warm welcome everyone :)

I was awol for a couple of days - had too much work to do :( - but not too much that I couldn't go online and order some tea :D

I spent the week sampling my new teas - coincidentally from adagio by the way. So far so good, and although I did have an intense (negative) reaction to the Lapsang Souchong I bought, I think it might start to grow on me... :)
