Hello- Just finished a whole year of studying tea.

by fweever » Sep 1st, '09, 23:04

Hi,

I homeschool my kids, and for history and culture last year we decided to do tea. Wow, what a subject. Yes, we had to check out local tea places and sample tea throughout our studies...ah-hem. But we also learned so much about the process of making tea, the cultures surrounding tea and tea cermonies, the history of the tea trade, and being inspired to create art with tea!

We finished our studies this summer and I created a website showing the cool stuff we did all year. The hardest was the Tea Map, the most fun was discussing Tea Punk- the newest cool style (that we made up.)

sites dot google dot com slash site slash teahistory and culture

I was always a tea drinker, but now I have waaay more knowledge about tea than I probably ever needed to know! Happy to have a forum with other tea lovers.

Welcome! I think that must have been an amazing year. I'm very jealous.
