Newbie

by LAQUITA » Nov 23rd, '09, 00:31

Hello Everyone,
I am a 'newbie' to Teas. HOT teas that is. We live in the South and love SWEET tea but I know I know t his is the poorest of the teas. But it's still good in the summer weather we haver here! :D

My husband got me started in the leisure enjoyment of hot tea when he brought home some Teavana Jasmine Dragon & Rooibos Tropica tea. The rest is history. I am now hooked.

BUT, I don't know where to start. I am looking to you all for help and direction. I do have a few more teas from Teavana and like them all. They are all loose tea.

Any and all help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. :D :D THANKS
I look forward to learning more about tea and meeting you all.

Blessings,
LaQuita

Welcome the TC LaQuita.

Many members got their start with Teavana, sort of a gateway. Unfortunately most people eventually find Teavana to be expensive and move on.

Spend a little time on the forum and you will find many sources for many teas.

Welcome to the forum! I started out with loose tea at Teavana too... and found TeaChat while searching for online sources for teas when I realized Teavana's prices were sorta steep. I found Adagio, ordered lots of their samplers, read TeaChat from top to bottom, and have really grown in my love of teas as a result. I used to drink primarily flavored teas, and now have a deeper appreciation for unflavored and unsweetened tea which has become my mainstay. Don't be afraid to try lots of new things, and don't be afraid to try without sugar. If something doesn't appeal to you the first time you try it, put it away and try again in a few weeks. I was so surprised how much my tastes changed as I got more tasting experience.

Welcome welcome welcome... hope you love teawares too, its quite addictive!

Sarah
