Tea instead of Alcohol and Coffee

by Aquarama » Jun 5th, '17, 19:31

Hi All,

This is my first post to the forum. I have been trying to drink less coffee and alcohol and am now drinking more tea, and that has now led to an interest in nice tea ware.

I started with European porcelain and bone china and have now began to dip my feet into the immensely deep rabbit hole of Asian ceramics.

I have attached a picture of my little desk setup which isn't conventional but works well for me. I use cheap but thick-walled stoneware soy sauce containers (yes soy sauce) because they hold the same amount of water as my teapot. That way I can steep my tea a few times and keep it hot without having a kettle at my desk.

Small, but useful.

A good setup, only the essential.

I definitely drink less coffee now that I drink tea all the time. Less alcohol, too, but I still drink most days! Had some Kavalan (Taiwanese whiskey) earlier today!

I know of a place that specializes in fancy pu erh and armagnac here in HK. Actually, I don't know if they're still around, but it was pretty cool to see a bottle of Armagnac and a brick of old CNNP brick together in their window display!
