Howdy!

by eponine454 » Apr 10th, '08, 19:59

Hello everybody!

I've been a coffee drinker for a long time. And I've always enjoyed a nice glass of iced tea on a summers day....and I've even experimented with hot tea once or twice in my past.

But now that's all changed...

I'm discovering the beauty of a nice cuppa tea. Today I received my first order of samples from this site (thanks to a friend and a $5 gift cert that she sent me ages ago.) I can't wait to try more! I've been reading and learning and enjoying the random Irish Breakfast blend that I picked up at Target to tide me over until my Adagio order arrived.

So, that said, Hello! I look forward to meeting you all and learning more from you!

Welcome, Eponine! What samples did you get from Adagio? Have you tried any of them yet?

Hmm...let me see if I can remember them all:

Yunnan Gold
Green Citron
Irish Breakfast
Rooibos Vanilla
Oriental Spice

I think that's it.

And yup, had the Rooibos last night and decided it's okaaaaay but not my super favorite. Drinkable but not exciting.

Thanks for the welcome! (and there sure are a lot of threads here to read!)

Well, I was gonna have the Oriental spice tonight but now I think I need to go with the Yunnan Gold. :)

Thanks for the Welcome.

Welcome! Every time I see your forum name, I think of the character from Les Miserables.

Try the Vanilla Rooibos steeped at boiling for 5 minutes and add a little splash of milk to it. I prefer vanilla soy or almond milks, but normal milk should work fine too. It makes it creamier tasting and brings out the vanilla flavor.

Yup, that's where the name came from. :)

I did have the Vanilla Rooibos with a splash of milk and a skosh of sugar (after trying it plain, first.) That did make it better, but still not my fave.

Tonight I ended up with the Oriental Spice after all. Liked it more. added a bit of sugar but didn't get up to add milk (which might have made it perfect.) I definitely enjoyed it though! I think it would also be right tasty on ice.
