Aged Bao Zhong via SilentChaos (pre-Origin Tea). Good drinking; like sweet and sour cinnamon and black tea.

Drinking my last remains of Imen's Ba Xiang Dancong (commercial grade), western style (4 g of leaves per 250 ml, 1 - 2 minutes). It's still quite nice and mellow, plenty of flowery/fruity notes of peaches and orchids, pleasant aftertaste. Very appropriate for a cloudy afternoon...

'Yan Shang' DHP. A hint of Rougui & Shuixian..but very well-balanced. A tin says it's from Jiu Qu...Jiu Qu is Ban Yan spot as what I know...great commercial DHP I've had recently. :D

$1 for 100g Vietnamese oolong from Chinatown in Saigon, Vietnam. Brewing it in a 120ml zhuni shui ping. Flavors are much more muted in clay and it is much smoother; very sweet, fruity (canteloupe, citrus, berries) and light, with a hint of milk. Definite Taiwanese influence here, and it was probably grown from Taiwanese cuttings.

Not in the same league as good TW oolong, of course, but perfectly drinkable. I got a clump of rolled leaves from the bag; like seven or eight leaves stuck together in a mass. I've never seen that before.

For the money I can drink this on ice with meals and not think twice!

Drinking a more expensive oolong I bought in Saigon; this stuff was packed in January, but is from the 2009 harvest. Much milder, but same sort of flavor profile as the cheaper stuff. I may have to give some of it a little heat to bring out more flavor.

Started the day with some Da Hong Pao from Norbu, a sturdy earthy version, and now moved on to an evening of Song Zhong. Norbu's Fenghuang oolongs are not as long-lived as those from Imen of TeaHabitat, but they're also cheaper for everyday drinking. This one is nicely floral, and responds well to a combination of moderate leaf quantity and flash infusions in my Petr Novak treebark oolong pot.

Anxi Tieguanyin I bought in 2012. It's been sitting in an open bag ever since. It's mellowed out considerably; good, sweet and fruity/floral, but very different from the Taiwanese oolongs. This is lightly roasted and was the most expensive tea I'd ever bought at the time. I think I like it even better now than I did then!

Brewing up some more of the Li Shan winter oolong tonight. Getting some interesting flavor south of this one... Citrus, cream, slight vegetal taste with an overtone of orchid or orange blossom. It's absolutely delicious.

Dong Ding (med. roast) wulong brought recently from Taiwan: I sit in the quiet morning and arrange a new setting at the tea table to MEversbergII's uploaded Youtube playlist to pour bowl style tea with some newly delivered teaware. The rounds are beautiful, calm, rich and soothing.

Some mid-roast 2013 Dongding. Decent everyday sort of tea. Given that it is newly roasted, this tea will need some rest but the leaf quality is good, so I'm confident it'll age well!

'10 XinRen Dancong from Teaclassico.

First try was straight up brewed like puerh, which didn't work that well...

Today, I tried it a little gentler, with cooler, longer first brew, then boiling hot for slightly longer brew length interval, 20, 15, 25, 35, like so...

The tea is kind of old, so the top taste is very mild. The aroma does have a strong butter and almond character among the florals. Soup is smooth and mostly bitter free, but sour crept in towards the end. The best thing about the tea was the comprehensive huigan and mouthcoat. Stronger than the top taste, in general. This is expensive tea at close to a dollar a gram, but it does seem to be of the same grade of tea that Tea Habitat sells, and well above the commercial grade Da Wu Ye I have had from Jing Tea Shop. I enjoyed it, but there wasn't really any qi, and while this tastes and smells far better than the Nanjian ZhaiZiPo that I also had today...well, let's just say that the '05 laocong SX I have is more of a blissful tea.
