Greetings TeaFriends and welcome to "Black Friday" on TeaDay. Please stop in throughout the day and share what is in your cup.
Yesterday we discussed food and the holiday. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. It is "Black Friday" in the USA, supposedly the peak shopping day of the year in preparation for the upcoming holidays. Will you be "shopping" or sitting on the sidelines today? Please share. Bonus, TeaShopping?
I am looking forward to sharing this Black Friday with everyone on TeaDay. Bottoms up!

Re: BlackFriday TeaDay 11/26/10 Shop til you drop?
Maybe going to buy some chocolate, but black friday doesn´t exist here. But the weather is supposed to be fairly warm and I´ll be close to the chocolate shop and have time after my classes to go before it closes

Re: BlackFriday TeaDay 11/26/10 Shop til you drop?
I really grew to hate Xmas when I lived in the States. It strayed so far from the family holiday of giving that I grew up with. I stopped celebrating it years before I came to China. Here, people don't generally celebrate Xmas, but I set up a small tree every year with a few decorations and stockings for my wife and daughter and find that the simple things I do now bring so much more joy than I found with Xmas in the States. I will do some Xmas shopping, but not for a few weeks yet. I did order some books and toys for my daughter already though. Oh, and some matcha for me.

It will be a family day, not a shopping day, with a few little packets of tea brought along.
Finishing the tea day with an herbal tisane--chamomile, hibiscus, citrus peel, and some more lovely things. Started the teaDay with a very nice session of the Togei sencha from OTTI #7.

I will be there at 5am.
...because I have to work.
Going through the last few steeps of this TKY then moving on to sencha on in a moment, haven't decided which yet.

Some cyber shopping for me with emailed deals. I never shop in the stores any more and even if I did, I'd never go on the busiest day. No way.
No tea shopping either.

I have to work today and have no interest in fighting the crowds beforehand. I have to admit, though, that I do read through the newspaper inserts to see what will be on sale. But in all these years, I have never seen a deal that I had to try to score that early in the morning.
Re: BlackFriday TeaDay 11/26/10 Shop til you drop?
There are no bargains worth fighting the madness... plus it turned very cold here last night with some snow and sleet. There's no way I was getting out at midnight or even 4 or 5am. As opposed to saving money, I'd probably have paid 100.00 just to sleep til 8am and stay on the sofa in my jammies as long as I want this morning. I'm spending the morning with my parents, and might get together with other family or friends tonight. In any event, any shopping I do today will likely be done online.
Coffee this morning, now ready for some tea. Black Friday = Black Tea? Hmmmm, we shall see.

No shopping. Stocked food stuff on Tuesday and don't have to fight the traffic in all these days. When crowds fade on Sunday, we will go hiking in the woods. That's our Thanksgiving plan
I store I used to like, used to have 20% off on Black Friday, online and in store. This time, they made the 20% off available only in store and only before 6am That's inhuman! And I won't consider it even for a second. Nothing is better than a good sleep

I had planned to hop online this morning before work and buy a few gifts but the things i wanted to buy were already sold out. Oh well. breifly thought about doing some tea shopping when i got emailed a discout code from one tea supplier and found discount codes from a few others, but i am trying very hard to stick to my resolution not to buy any more tea until after christmas, i have already broken the resolution as it applies to teaware, but this time i mean it... wait a minute, saw some thing pretty... must resist.

Bah humbug ... no to any shopping! The last thing I want to think about is shopping today!
Still had to struggle being sencha-less today. Had Happy Tea to start with the Mrs. and then Master's Pouchong.
