Had a very busy January which meant I didn't drink much of the real good stuff. Instead, the tip of the hat goes to a cheap Wuyi from WHF. Always reliably tasty.

In my cup today: 2010 EoT Bangwai.
Wow, drinking this makes me wonder what I've been drinking all month.

For January I'd put my Oolongs over the Pu Erhs.
Some real nice Wuyi Shui Xian from jkteashop and a wonderful High Fired Tikwanyin from Mandarin's tearoom.

Today I had a nice gyokuro - a little bitter 'cause I oversteeped the second brew - shouldn't read while brewing :)
This is followed by a 2007 Spring Lun Pin LBZ from jkteashop - nice and expensive as LBZ is - but no more of it on the vendor’s page.
Does anybody know Lun Pin?

Tie luo han  I think most of you could have guessed that was comming or some yancha. Maybe this spring I will venture into some new teas...but yancha will come too.

Everyday feng huang milan dancong today. Maybe herbal or green tonight.

Adagio's blackberry tea frequented my cup more than any other this month.

Very far from the most frequent but I´d say the early 90´s baozhong from IPT that I ended the month with was the best...I started it yesterday evening and decided to keep breing it today...something which I usually don´t do but it didn´t start to go sour yet :)

Rather hard choice, but I have to give this tea some respect before it is completely gone.

Balhyocha from Dao Tea, I prefer Kim Shin Ho slightly more than the other artists.

So this was a Korean tea, that is rather like a Black tea, with a touch of oolong. Although it can be loosely translated to a Yellow tea.

For me the tea of the month - teas of the month actually - were 2 loose sheng puerhs from Seven Cups. Da Xue Shan Sheng (Snow Mountain Green) Loose Leaf Puer 2010 and You Le Shan Gu Cha Shu Sheng Puer (Ancient Tree Green Puer) 2007. I find that if I brew them more like green tea than puerh I end up with no bitterness and rich flavors.

Thanks for coloring our TeaDay Adam!

Tough call picking a specific selection ... cannot say one stood head and shoulders above others, they were all pretty good. But it was back to sencha after being dethroned by his cousin, gyokuro, in December. So sencha it is.

Oh, OK ... decided to give the nod to Zenchya Sencha the Ultimate ... interestingly brewed like a gyokuro ... so it was like gyokuro sort of won again? I think this stuff is gyo grown in the sun?

Began the TD with what else, sencha. A new opening, Zencha Kiwami from Yame with the Mrs. Next up, Kumpu from Ippodo. And finishing the TD with Misashi Karigane from O-Cha.

I am still drinking my Se-Jak or Sae-Jac? Say Jack? Umm
well its a really good Korean Green tea.
Its like a light Hoji or Genmai. I would recommend it the only two warnings I should mention is, 1: Its pricey. 2: Its unforgiving if you brew any hotter then 70'C.
