What cha drinking this morning, Ms Victoria? Very pretty!

All my teapots are (shockingly-ha) porcelain. If I'm making iced tea, I will let the larger teabags steep in my glass kettle just for convenience's sake.

Decided to be practical & instead of spending money on new teaware, pull down some of the cup & saucers off the wall & out of the china cabinet. Had the last of my Organic Monk's Blend sample this morning. Mr Mailman, please be nice to me today!!!

I just realized that I don't understand the difference between clay and ceramic. I thought ceramic is made from clay? Whatever they are, I like them.

it's a genmaicha morning in this witch's cup!
Brewing joy, happiness and green tea, like any good TeaWitch should!

I actually really like glass, even though I do not own a glass pot. I am still on the lookout for the one I really want.

In my cup today - Ten Ren TKY. Not a big fan. It is too roasted, I think
Yesterday was Ten Ren King's 319 Dark 2nd grade. Also too roasted for me.

And shouldn't wood and bamboo (lacquered or otherwise) also feature in the choices list? For example:

In my cup - sorry, it's PG Tips this morning - I have to dash to a training course!
Chamekke, as much as I ADORE lacquer, and have a SERIOUS I-WANT-THAT-NOW issue with your cherry bark cannister, the question is teapot material.
:)
Teaware is probably tomorrow's poll. (Sorry Chip!!)

Edited to insert smilies. Just teasing y'all.

Wow, you're tough! Mental note: answer poll questions correctly or face Victoria's wrath.

Ha, even without the smilies your tone was pretty clear--you're a ruler-wielding stickler for precision and order.

Henley, LOVE that teacup, even if it does bring back memories of my mother constantly trying to put our silver-rim dishes in the microwave (they were new then. Everyone had silver/gold rim dishes. )

In my cup this morning: Dragonwell. Which reminds me that I have been meaning to order some good Shincha/Sencha to try. I've only ever had the cheap stuff and don't drink it often because, well, the obvious reasons.

Nice pic. The leaves are nice and green. Is that some fine wooden thing in the background?
Ha! Good eye! That is my dragon given to me by my neighbor from Taiwan.

chamekke, I think I have the same cherry canister somewhere in one of my packages from my online shopping binge over the last couple of days. (Bought a bunch of little things because I was having a tokoname crisis. Did NOT end up buying a kyusu because I couldn't make up my mind. )

Cross brewing today with the Dragonwell. I'm making it in my little shudei kyusu, and I think it's much sweeter and mellower this way. Hmmm...

My not so technical answer is - ceramics are glazed and fired, a clay pot is not.
And the clay pot is made from far superior clay.

Is the monkey on the back of the shirt, because then when you go home tonight you can take it off and say "wow i'm glad to have that monkey off my back" *rimshot*
