Welcome everyone to TeaDay, let's brew and share what is in our cups today...all day!
Today's TeaDay Poll is dedicated to TeaChat's most posted topic. It is quickly approaching 100 pages and 1,500 posts. It has obviously become very popular for the teaware geeks...and the teaware geek wannabes like myself. It is also a great resource guide to see what is out there in the market place.
For a few months now, there have been rumbles about whether to start a new topic and retire the old one, which would remain available for members and visitors to read but no longer post under. I think the old one became somewhat sacred and nobody wanted to be the one to attempt starting a new topic.
As the topic was approaching this milestone, Victoria approached me just as I was contemplating this as well, so I decided it was time to decide. It seemed best to take it to the people in a TeaDay poll...let all the members have the opportunity to "officially" vote and discuss this subject...and decide in the fairest way possible once and for all!
This has taken on a bit of a life of its own. So, today, in addition to sharing our cups of tea, vote on whether to replace the current topic with a new one. this poll will be open for 45 hours in order to give everyone a chance to vote. Simple majority rules.

No, unless it causes technical problems. At the current rate of one page per day we would have a new topic every four months if it is chosen to start a new one.

As I drink my tea from white cups bought at Ikea (design: Susan Pryke) and have never posted any pics, I feel a moral obligation to abstain from today's poll. However, I feel delighted that TeaChat has embraced and continues to promote the same values as the ones they are commemorating in France today.

This is not starting out as a good tea day. My better half made tea with some teabags in the cabinet...vile stuff, had to pour it out. I don't know if it was lousy tea to begin with, or just old. Then my favorite blue mug hit the floor and the handle shattered. Oddly, the mug itself only sustained a chip out of the side.
So...vile drink, badly damaged mug, scalded leg/foot from hot tea.
Should I go back to bed now, or should I start over with some good tea?

Sal, that is the coolest plant ever. If I didn't think my kitties would eat it up then puke it all over the carpet, I would have to run out and get one. But they would so I'm going to content myself with staring at your pic.

Drinking "A Party in My Pants" today, thanks to kymidwife. Not a huge fan of the banana in it, but I forgot about the last little bit in there and end up drinking it at room temp and that was good, so think I might try it as an iced tea.
Kitty is doing okay-ish this morning. My parents stopped by yesterday to see her and they are convinced that she's had a stroke. Actually, it seems pretty likely. Anyway, her spirits are good and she's purring a lot, even though she's still not eating. She's doing a lot better today than I thought she'd be. We'll see what the vet says this afternoon.
