Black for me. No tea yet but will probably have some Darjeeling.
Well, mine is always Green and Black, I said Black last month, so I'll say Green this month.
Highlights were the Ippodo Shincha I opened out of storage, and fresh crop of Ito En Green Tea: Kagoshima Chiran Sencha and Ito En Yame Gyokuro. Also, been enjoying the Ippodo Waka Matcha.

Typically green day after day, month after month, year after year. But greener oolongs are exciting me again, lately, making August a month I at least had to think before I voted. I have found myself window shopping oolongs lately, something I have not done for 1-2 years. Particularly Baozhong, greener oolong, and now Taiwan greens (non oolong)!!!!! 
I still voted green, Japanese sencha, specifically shincha Yutaka Midori. There were several other Japanese that were close. Gyokuro is starting to interest me now that I am brewing it with a 2 grams per ounce water ratio in very small steeps.
Started the TeaDay with Adagio Keemun, moved on to the last and likely best session of shincha Fukamushi Supreme from O-Cha, and currently Kunpu asamushi shincha. Again, a really very good TeaDay. I cannot remember the last TeaDay that was not very good.

But I have not tried this with "lesser pedigreed leaf" which could turn out nasty. Maybe I will have some shortly, but for now, I am curiously drinking a Monkey Picked from Victoria. She was not awe struck by this.
My first impression of it leaves me wondering if it has been sprayed ever so lightly with a floral/sweet essence to increase the floral/sweet character. I cannot say for certain, but if I was a cartoon character, I would have one of these *:?:* over my head right now.
It is smooth and good, but I cannot shake this curiousity.

So I tried some White Tropics and it tastes excatly like the Coconut that I just got rid off. Not my cuppa.
I'm going to be imprisioned again in two days in an institution that cruel minded people call 'school' for a final time. I don't know wheather to me happy or sad to see summer gone.
Oh well, this is the last year that I'll have to see it.
I'm looking forward to fall and winter holidays, they're always my favorites. Does anyone know when Adagio will come out with their holiday teas again?

I'd have to go with oolong for my favorite during August. For the first half of August, I really enjoyed coming home from work to start a nice gong-fu session with an oolong. It was especially nice when I had a few steeps left over for the morning to wake me up before commute. Now that I am back at college, I can play with my gaiwan when ever I want between classes.
Today, I am enjoying some Shui Xian Wuyi. It's heavenly.

I voted oolong, but was actually torn. It could have just as easily been black or green for me this month. I think my happy experience with a Nantou oolong yesterday put oolong over the top.

Since I ran out of Yutaka Midori a couple of pure Taiwanese greens did a very good job of replacing my favorite. These were not light oolongs, but pure green teas that actually had somewhat of a sencha taste to them.
These two teas were Bi Liu and Bi Lu Chun, both are Taiwanese greens and both were purchased at Hou De Asian.
