William: OFFER - R.O.C. period Zini SP - 100 ml.

by William » Jun 1st, '17, 09:54

Hello everyone,

I would like to sell this R.O.C. period (approximately 20s/30s) Zini SP from my collection.

Thick walled, well fired, clean, good lid fit and good pour. This SP is ready to be used, perfect in every detail, without chips or cracks. Volume of 100 ml.

I personally like how this clay pairs with the following teas: roasted oolong (e.g. Yancha or high fired TGY), aged puerh or young aggressive ones (e.g. BuLang), shou puerh, Chinese or Taiwanese red teas.

420 USD EMS included.

Well, it may be only me, but the pot looks to be too dirty for "ready to be used" description. It's more like "we just dug it from a grave" condition.

Thank you for expressing your opinion, TuoChaTea! :D

I must say the teapot really looks clean in my hands. As you can see from the photos, on the outside there are tea stains of previous usage and a bit of dust, while the inside is really, really clean, especially if compared to teapots of similar age. The outside can be easily cleaned with just a bit of baking soda .. but I don't like touching the patina of teapots that are so old (once the patina is cleaned, it's gone forever), so I leave the decision to the next owner. I tried drinking water from this teapot, and even left some water inside it for a couple of hours, as I do with every teapot I acquire for my collection .. it tasted absolutely fine.

+1 The pot looks fine to me... in a ROC pot you can expect some stains on the outside
