I am preparing some tea and the JB Weld for the shiboridashi. I can't let that one go without a fight. But the yuzamushi.....not going to happen.

Looks like quite a lovely piece. JB Weld can rescue the situation.

My shiboridashi is now reasonably whole, but not yet watertight after the first round of repair. Perhaps this is an opportunity to complete the repair with some gold paste as is being discussed elsewhere.

TreasureHunt Treasure 7 Clue 2 "noborigama and a 9 meter long snake kiln" (Clue 1 was Nara)

Which JB Weld? There are several. Thanks!

Of course he can! Everything I have purchased from Petr, except one, was custom made.

I'm mourning the loss of this little guy. :( I put him on the counter to be washed and left the kitchen. A few moments later I heard him smash against the ground. I think maybe the water on the counter had caused him to slide off.

Or a coffee drinking poltergeist! Or penalty for not posting in over 2 years! Good to see you, hope to see you more!

My theory ... the hot, empty cup heated the air within the foot, lifting it ever so slightly so it could slide on the wet counter. Like an air hockey puck. Overthinking ... maybe.

Anyway, sorry for the loss, hope you have another maybe?

Hahaha, coffee poltergeist. That is an interesting theory. I will definitely be more careful to make sure the counters are not wet. Unfortunately, he was the last cup of his kind in my possession. I will post more, I promise.
