Where can I buy reproductions of ancient teaware?

by djtanng » Dec 25th, '14, 18:38

For a while now I've been trying to fine a website that makes/sells reproductions of ancient teaware from the Tang or Song Dynasties. I keep seeing stuff in books that I want, but can't find, like a Song Dynasty jun ware bowl with stand.

Does anyone know where I can find stuff like this?

EDIT: Here's an example of something I'd like to find for less than $100.

Some of the teaware artisans whose work is represented here on TeaChat create pieces that feel ageless right out of the kiln, but I haven't seen links to places that specialize in reproductions. For example, many of these bowls remind me strongly of a museum piece that someone photographed and shared.

I think it also depends on perhaps the things potters make?

Is there any only-utsushi potter around? I think most are side projects and stuff.. I've seen several in rikyu-tea store by those were all raku pottery. Nothing korean or anything of the like.

Thanks for the heads up! I bought it! It was $67.50 with EMS shipping from Taiwan to Virginia.

If anyone can find a cheaper one of those somewhere in world let me know. I'm almost out of Christmas money now, ha ha!

Thanks, I would, but I'm sure it's out of my price range. If I had better income I'd be very interested.
