I might be the only one but i would appreciate a different forum for the daily jixing stuff (feels to me like spam every day ), and keep this one for japanese crafts..
Edit: Ok wow stuff is apparently a offensive term.
Re: Make a forum for jixing stuff
Ha just read the first entry, I would not keep this one for japanese teaware, but for all the teaware except Yixing. Otherwise deduct one Yes vote

With the amounts of topics made about jixing ware i don't see the problem with separating it and make it a subforum(?).Evan Draper wrote:Let's all have our own forums where no one else is allowed in.

Re: Make a forum for jixing
Why would "teaware and accessories" be for Japanese wares only? No Korean ware, Chinese porcelain, Taiwanese wares, etc?
Feels like spam...? Because you're not interested? You don't have to read them.

I think we need more posts about Yixing, until everyone knows how to spell it.

Re: Make a forum for jixing
I do not see why we could not create 3 tea wares' sections .. one for Chinese wares, one for Japanese wares, one for Korean wares!

Then we could create another section for tea wares made in other countries. From what I can say, Chinese wares, Japanese wares, Korean ware, Taiwanese wares and American wares are what we discuss the most.

Re: Make a forum for jixing
All ribbing aside, the forum categories are irrelevant to me as I almost always hit "view new posts" and pick the threads that are interesting. It's easy enough to avoid the spammy and show-offy ones. But the database manager in me thinks teaware categorization by nationality is too porous. Take tetsubin: Japanese in origin but coopted by Taiwanese "gongfu synthesizers" and replicated in China. Are tetsubin care tips from a gongfu practitioner irrelevant to a chanoyu practitioner or an <ahem> American Tea Ceremony (all rights reserved) practitioner?
