What's the capacity on the den's kyusu? I have a little tokoname kyusu that I got from Lupicia, but it's pretty small. I'm considering looking for one in the 250-300 mL range.

Padre said they're a max 10 oz, more likely a 9 considering the space the leaves take up.

You can squeeze an even 11 oz into either of these pots, but doing so appears impractical.

I shot a "various angles" video of the yutori at work today, where there's more light.

I also shot one of guricha being poured.

Padre, thank you for making me even more impatient for mine to arrive.

I send Den's a message about when they will have Kokoro back in stock. Hopefully I'll get a message from them soon with the answer!

I absolutely love the yutori pot I got from Den's. It is so cute! Not to mention that it makes really good tea. It pours well with no drips and is the perfect size for one cup of tea.

Den's Kokoro and Yokuri Teapots

by TimeforTea » Feb 19th, '08, 01:29

What is the difference between the Kokoro and Yokuri pots from Den's? Are they used for different purposes such as different teas?

I think the screens are different. I prefer not having the 360* screen. What grows behind that screen gives me the willies.

I thought that the 360 degree screen on the So-An would be removable because there's something at the bottom right below the spout that looks like a tab. Is a removable screen in a kyusu unheard of?

Sorry for the moronic question - but could someone please post links/images to show me what a 360*. non-360* screen looks like?

What goes in must come out, right? I have one that I removed for cleaning and never got it to sit correctly again, thus allowing larger particles to slip by.

I cannot speeak to the removal of the screens on these pots though. Even if they are removable, you would not want to do it with any kind of frequency because the screen would become mangled...and it is a bit of a pain.

Which one of these has the 360 screen? Chip, which do you recommend? While we're on the subject, what IS the best way to clean the screens--with a scrub brush or something sturdier? (Oy, who knew drinking tea would be so complicated! )
