Wow, you studied under Ah Leon -- awesome! When I was at Northern Illinois University, I was fortunate to study Yih-Wen Kuo and he brought in Ah Leon for a demonstration...Such an amazing craftsman! I want to say he demoed the construction of an yixing teapot as well as his clay wood work.bonjiri wrote:my old teacher, ah Leon, there is a 'zone of tranquility' when the liquid leaves the spout to the container in which its being poured. not too much turbulence. there are many factors going into making teapots too. more than a teacup.

Wow!
That is some pink--quite lickable. It is making me think of titanium oxide without the iron found in rutile.

yunomi koudai
triangular shaped yunomi on etsy. this yunomi is fired on 3 sea shells w/ hawaiian keawe ash. nicely balanced in the hand, also very functional drinking at each corner, much like drinking out of a water pitcher.

i actually prefer more chunky yunomi due to the functionality. personally, my fingers are very sensitive to heat so i prefer thicker yunomi
enjoy !
