I'm sorry this took me so long to post. I adore my Pink Shino Chawan by Chris. I use it almost every day and it just feels so good in my hand. I love the weight and am so honored to have it in my collection. Thanks Chris!

Love the uniformity of the glaze and the shape. Sweet!

I just saw on your website that you are having a Holiday show in Batavia the 10-12 of December. I am curious is the exhibit only open those three days? I would like to stop by but if it is only those three days I am sad that I will have to miss it.

Unfortunately it is...The gallery where we are having it is only staffed on Fri, Sat, and Sun, which is kind of a bummer. I am planning on posting everything to Etsy that doesn't sell. There are going to be a lot of yunomi, bowls/chawan, vases, and a couple teapots (provided they survive the firing. I'll post some pics here as soon as I can.

Teapots:

This one was made in late 2009 for a two person show I did. Didn't sell then, so now is going to Baltimore Clayworks: 100 Teapots V which opens later this month.

Teapots part 2:

Here is a new guy as of November 2010. Volume may be 150 - 180 ml, but have not officially measured. Medium wall thickness (as American teapots go). I also have one that is a bit larger and one that is a bit smaller. All three have the same glaze combination.

I wanted to post photos of my Chawan that Chris made. I love it and use is several times a week. The crackles in it are starting to darken and that is very exciting! Thanks again Chris, I love this piece!
