Iced Tea

by PamEast » Aug 7th, '10, 10:45

I am new here, so if I am posting this in the wrong place, please let me know.

I am looking for recommendations for teas that ice well. I've tried several that I love hot, but ended up not liking as well when I poured them over ice.

I'm coming to realize that the selection of tea varieties is nearly endless, so maybe I'm opening a can of worms here. lol. I'm almost a complete neophyte, but hoping to learn.

Can of worms, maybe. Typing in iced tea on search had over 2500 posts.

There is also a recent topic here. http://www.teachat.com/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=13177

I like Ceylon blended with high elevation Indian like Darjeeling or Nepal. Has a natural fruity character.

I also like sencha (Japanese ) cold brewed. If I am not going to drink this right away, I add a smidge of honey which acts as a natural preservative.
