Sustainable Tea Business in New York City
Because of the economy and expensive leasing in NewYork City, it's sad to see tea shops closed. Last year, ITO EN, Takashiyama and T Salon were all closed up. As a consumer, I picked up some excellenet teas and teawares at a big discount.

It can be done, but might be pretty challenging in the higher rent districts.

Yes it was a sad year for tea in nyc. Still there's cha'an on 9th and Radiance teahouse on 55th. Also heard of a new korean tea cafe called Franchia open on Park and 34th, but haven't checked it out yet...
