Sweet Rice Fragrance / Nuo Mi Xiang Nen Ye ?

by MEversbergII » Mar 29th, '15, 17:34

So I recently got some of this: https://sevencups.com/shop/sweet-rice-f ... en-tuocha/

Smells good, but the flavor is pretty much standard young sheng. Evidently it is cut a bit with this herb called "Nuo Mi Xiang Nen Ye" - Sweet Rice Tender Leaves.

Cursory Googling didn't pick up anything, other than it not being literal rice plant material.

Inspection of the steeped leaves didn't seem to turn up anything unusual, but wet plant matter tends to look like wet plant matter.

Does anyone know anything about this plant?

Thanks,

M.

Sort of; I was looking for more information on the plant, rather than the scented tea.

Thanks, though!

Crisp, heady, succulent, and downright sexy - there’s a fragrance for whatever mood strikes you. And nowadays, you won’t need to make excuses for reaching for that bottle of a woody masculine scent; where ‘feminine’ fragrances were once floral and often sickly affairs, the world of women’s fragrance has erupted to a colourful landscape that’ll encompass any preference you might have just like Rasasi Perfumes.

So, should one wear a masculine scent or a feminine fragrance while consuming some rice fragrance?

Yes the herb is the same as Pandan leaf (pandanus). Which is often used to make sweet snack sticky tea. 糯米香嫩葉 (Nuo mi xiang nen ye) is the same nuo mi xiang 糯米香 means pandan, nen ye 嫩葉 means just young leaves. It's really pandan flavored tea.
