Share your knowledge of online leaf tea shopping
To shop tea online is unlike buying tea from local store that you don’t have chance to see the real shape or color of tea you buy. Can any of you share your knowledge for online tea shopping? What information do you go by, the grading, the brand or any others?

quenel, Like so many others, you mention concern for the shape & color of your tea. I sample many teas when shopping for tea; I am not looking at the shape & color of the leaves of actual tea or photographs of it. I am dismayed that it is almost impossible to sell tea online without photographs & the cost in time & $ of them.

Simply buy and try it out yourself. Start with small samples. And stock up when you like a particular one. It happened to me that I liked a certain tea, when I ordered the year after, it wasn't the same taste. This is normal for artisan tea.
