Silk Bags - I'm spoiled

by Victoria » Jan 10th, '08, 19:19

Oh the lovely silk bags from Joshua Tea! And now they are no more since the site is closed. I have never found any like them, similar to the kind you find in pyramid bags, beautiful and substantial white silk. These are rectangle and even have a string. They have a foldover top and hold a good amount with room to unfurl, which is important with oolongs.

Oh to step down to paper <...shudder...>

What's a girl to do?

Try Adagio teabags

You have nothing to fear. We sell beautiful pyramid shaped tea bags with artisan grown, hand picked, whole leaf green, white, black and oolong teas. They are roomy so tea leaves can fully infuse. They also have 5g of tea per serving. Lots of other companies that sell tea only put 2 to 3g of tea in each bag.

Try and let me know what you think.

Thank you! I have tried the TKY in the bags, and I keep a supply on hand at all times! I've yet to try Adadgio's other varities, but I will! get to them!

The bags I am speaking of are empty fill-it-yourself ones.

Hmmm, I know some pre-bagged teas are made with silk instead of nylon, so I would assume they just get thrown away, but with your fill-yourself silk bags, would you reuse them?

I have personally never reused them, except for a second steep, of course. But I have a friend who does.
