Thank you very much for keeping this amazing forum alive! :)

Hi Michael and all,

Issues about this new face as a Win 7 + FF v. 43 user and what is missing is the following:

1. Quote other users' posts
2. Edit my own posts
3. Font readabilty. OK when I type my own words but a bit blurry when it comes to read forum content.

Cheers!

Gerard.

this place is seriously a wealth of tea knowledge
+1

Very seriously, some users here have spent so much time sharing their vast knowledge in very tricky and complex areas (I am thinking of Chinese Yixing pottery). It will be very unfortunate if all of it gets lost.

As Chip stated TeaChat is the members! :)

Well this is different...

Can someone in charge please confirm whether the sidebar chat will be replaced? That was the main reason I stuck around at the forum.

It's been almost two weeks since the 'update', and so far I haven't seen any of problematic design choices in this new look being fixed (or even being worked on). I know they might be working on backend stuff that isn't visible to us lowly users but--Chip, has there been any word? Right now Teachat is pretty darn painful for me to read. (Literally--it gives me eyestrain, and the text doesn't seem to want to render smoothly.) :(

Hi folks!

My name is Julie, and I came on-board at Adagio a couple of weeks ago to help out in managing our social media accounts and other digital properties.

I was recently given admin privileges for this board. I want to apologize for the time that has lapsed since the update, and the fixes that are now needed which have gone unaddressed.

We at Adagio Teas have heard your distress loud and clear, and we're working to address your issues. We sent this thread of complains to our developer, and I'm reviewing with him this week.

We appreciate your patience as we work out the kinks in TeaChat's transition. Thanks!

Since the forum is using phpBB, you should ask him to revert it to its default theme/functionality until it's fixed. It works perfectly well out of the box (even if slightly ugly). Feels like some threads have been totally deserted since update :(

Thanks for the update!
If that was a "professional" working on it, you should consider finder someone else, as clearly he or she has no clue what they are doing! Some mistakes are just basic common professional sense and should not have happened if you think only once about how a forum is used.

A developer should know better!
Until now I thought some lay person had been doing this...

Count me among those who are quite disappointed with the update especially the (lack of) progress but not knowing what's happening behind the scenes and the resources/constraints facing whoever did work on the site I'm not particularly comfortable disparaging them professionally. Basically as a developer I know sometimes things suck for reasons outside of your control.

Or in practical terms look at this way, if it's still the same guy working on it no need to non-constructively annoy him because we're still dependent on him :P

While this process could most assuredly have been handled better, I'm sure we all appreciate Adagio keeping this forum up and updating it for us. This is the best English-language discussion board for tea out there, and if everything gets sorted out right, it has the potential to be even more popular than it already is! Good to know our concerns are heard and things are being made right behind the scenes.
