Eating green tea can actually be healthier for you than just drinking the liquid brew. Why? If it’s the fact that will you eat tea? Amazing ideas......

Some people will eat green tea leaves as a salad (e.x. Gyokuro w/soy sauce) after steeping & drinking them a few times.

I usually it them this way, with soja sauce or in an omelette. Found then tasty, probably a healthy habit but we should not exaggerate their health benefits.

Yes, it's a habit from some part of China..like Hunan province,

For example, Chairman Mao always chewed tea leaves after drinking..

Sometimes I will lightly fry up first flush sencha or Gyokuro leaves in a fry pan with no oil, add salt pepper and a few spices. This can be saved for latter use also. I sprinkle these crunchy leaves onto soups and salads.

Light heat is important just enough to dry our leaves so they are crunchy :D

Maybe I can cut some fresh leaves into egg and made it into a green tea flavored omelets.
