How to guess a gram weight?

by BML » Mar 12th, '18, 17:02

I have just started to explore green tea and one piece that I read suggested a one gram weight of the tea per person but I don't have a device capable of weighing one gram. Is it possible to translate into say, "one teaspoon full?"

Depending on the tea a teaspoon is about 2g. Your brewing method will also have an effect though (i.e. gongfu vs western).

It very much depends on the tea. I have a hard time imagining a teaspoon of taiping houkui for example! :D
