Chasen Recommendations?

by purringtons » Jun 25th, '15, 09:08

a bristle from my chasen broke today :(

j/w where does everyone get their chasen from? i've been using a 100-bristle one to make usucha but i ordered some ceremonial grade matcha recently so i'm looking for both a replacement 100-bristle for usucha as well as one for koicha, any recommendations would be great! :)

Depends. Do you want something cheap, because there's many sites that sell just that. If you're looking for a good one, however, it's probably best to buy one made in Japan.

I got my two chasen, a 100 pronged one (for usucha) and a 48 (for koicha), from o-cha, and there's others sites that sell similar--though o-cha was best deal I could find.
