I received this gift from Cambodia.
Although the label referred to green tea, I have to say that the taste is completely different from the green tea I was used to.
Could you tell me why?

The product label says it's jasmine green tea. It should taste more like jasmine flowers than green tea if it's typical.
It's not so unusual for jasmine to be overpowering if they've used a flavoring process involving any sort of solvent to speed up the flavoring transfer from flowers to tea, versus just layering the two and letting it mix in naturally, or chopping a limited volume of flowers and mixing them in with the tea.
Cambodian tea isn't so easy to find, even in Cambodia, at least per my experience visiting there.

What I mean is that the taste is very (too!!!) different from that of Twining's green tea (for example).
I wonder if it is perhaps not really tea?

That's a major manufacturer. It's definitely tea. Is this your first loose leaf green tea?
