Matcha Chasen Whisks?

Made from leaves that have not been oxidized.

Salsero, I avoided Matcha for a while for some reason too, and I am glad I finally tried it.

If you enjoy good Sencha, odds are you will enjoy good Matcha... It is not too complicated or esoteric, really....

Now next on the list for me is Pu Erh, I have never tried a Pu Erh...

Puerh is easy and requires no special equipment. For a long time I was afraid of all Japanese teas since there are so many and it is like a whole world of tea unto itself. A couple good senchas, however, and I was hooked, addicted, unable to control my urges.

Certainly wouldn't want to see that happen with Matcha!

It is interesting that I have not felt the addiction for matcha as I do with sencha. I really like matcha, but it is not a craving thing like sencha...I start thinking about sencha the night before.

But matcha is a splendor to prepare, behold, and to enjoy, go for it Salsero!!!

Pu-erh...I sense that would become an addiction for me, and perhaps one day it will. For now, I keep it at arms length. It is very overwhelming to me. A lot to learn and then apply. I am not a casual tea drinker, and I sense I would have to go all the way with pu-erh.

I have had small amounts all the way up to hundreds of dollars worth of pu-erh in my cart, but have never checked out.

Puerh is complicated because there is so much of it and most of it isn't worth drinking! The really good stuff is too expensive to drink even on those rare occasions when you can actually find it for sale.

I think BBB has performed a national service of truly heroic proportions by creating his short list of fine introductory puerhs that are available domestically in small samples so you don't have to buy a 400 gram cake and wait two months. I would really encourage the curious (and no one is more perpetually curious than Chip!) to review BBB's list in the Puerh Forum and order a couple things. I would be really surprised if anyone felt for puerh the kind of immediate revelation that sencha can inspire.

The pu-erh forum...hmmm, I don't mod that one...YET!!!

Yes, that is a great idea, Salsero...do you have a link for his post for the pu-erh challenged. I need an idiot proof guide to Pu-erh made simple, like Pu-erh for Dummies.

...duh... I thought you meant a completely different forum for pu-erh.

No kidding. I can't keep matcha in my house, it is becoming a serious problem.

Oh and thanks for what you said.
