Not that there is anything wrong with a nice asa, but I have always thought a good fuka was also good for you.

Thanks for the links, I was just checking Den's site.

Sounds good, as I have never had any of their teas.

On second thought ... maybe not. I have tons of sencha already, and more on the way.

I'll wait for an Assam / Darjeeling / Ceylon / Nilgiri OTTI.

Best wishes,

You could count me in. I was going to place an order sometime soon. With regards to fuka, too bad we have to wait until next year for more Houryoku. I enjoyed that one, that is, until I ran out.

Were you thinking of something within the next month or two? The new organic they're advertising is tempting me, but I'd hold off if a Den's OTTI round was near. :!:

Nothing is officially scheduled, but in speaking to Den at the WTE in Vegas, he was definitely "all in."

After my impulse chawan buy over the weekend, I broke down and ordered the Matcha Kaze and sampler. A Facebook coupon code got me $1.50 off. If this goes the way I think it will, I'll be buying one of those kyusus soon.

If you do, make sure and get that newbie sampler. :)

So now 4 months later, I have 2 kyusus from Den's, the $5 special and the blue shincha. I like them both just fine and the blue one looks nice standing next to my Seigan blue yunomi. I've sampled quite a few of their teas and they're all good, except maybe the apple sencha which I can only drink iced.

ah yes I was curious enough to throw in one of those with my first den's orders as well. Agree it is not a tea I enjoy taking hot and alone.

Blend it!

A small amount, with houjicha or genmaicha is nice. Iced or hot. Less if hot.

I should mention that the grape sencha is really good and I enjoy it hot and iced. I'm not brave enough to try the pineapple or rose sencha.
