Fortunately, assaults such as today's on the forum are pretty rare. With automation comes opportunity ... so we shut it down.

More work on the front end for now which is ok with me. I had the forum set for manual activation for years.

Most of you were not around for the chaos in the early years of TeaChat. New registrations were automatically approved without any safeguards. Forums were a bit of a novelty and sort of new. Software was inadequate to deal with bot spam, etc.

But OMG, the spam was unbelievable ... porn images that were so huge, the images would take up literally 5 monitors in width. Multiply this X 50 a day. And little did I know that Marmaduke was such a bad dog! 🤤

So, this was nothing but a little speed bump ...

This person is clearly only posting to refer to his/her own shop: peony
JKshop or something.

Agreed. I've reported a few posts in the pasts that were really blatant.

We can all do our part by not supporting businesses that choose to spam here. Most places that do it generally sell tea that's easily bought elsewhere anyway.

Oops ... yet another bit of change with forum "improvements" caused me to delete the posts and not the offender. I wanted to do both.

Ban hammer ... activated.
