Yes, they are both brewing vessels. Simply put: They are tea pots.
A kyusu has a handle, a shiboridashi is essentially just a bowl with a lid.
... with a modified lip/spout thingy ... technically speaking.
A Shiboridashi is usually around 3-4 ounces, 90-120 ml, and it is not uncommon for them to be even smaller, so typically smaller than a typical kyusu.
They are great for a small session of an exceptional tea, and although most often thought of for gyokuro, you can brew whatever.

Ha!
I literally was gonna say "lip/spout" (!) but erased it for simplicity's sake.
You made nice, clarifying additions, though

Hello Everybody,
Do let Chip to turn your heads
Hope you will like those pieces. The kiln with pieces for this TASO was somehow extraordinary - We stock it with wet wood and it took much longer then usually. After unloading I was happy to say that it was for the best.
If you will have any questions feel free to ask. If I will be up I am going to answer
Petr

Looking forward to seeing the results! Don't really have a budget for this, but I already explained to DH how special this will be. (Of course I used that same excuse for the ROCK as well
). A Petr Novák teapot has been on my wish list for quite some time.

Time to reorganize my kitchen cabinets and make room for more teaware! This might be my first TA SO.

This TA SO will be a first for a lot of us... there's only been... one or two other ones?
I think I will also have to be clearing out more space, soon. Although, maybe it's just time to get rid of all those bland, same-old IKEA glass cups...?
