Help You if Super Sick blend (and have to go to work)

by ChildoftheHorn » Mar 18th, '10, 13:14

Hello,

This is my first post, but I am an avid loose leaf tea drinker.

In my everyday life, I really like to stick to just pure tea - mostly greens/light oolongs with no flavors added.

When I get sick though, it is a different story altogether....

This tea is a combo of some powerful stuff and it tastes really good (unlike medicine)! It can be made at a relatively low tempurature for ease (use hot water spout or microwave to get the water hot first). It needs no additional things like lemon juice or milk, has a nice flavor and thickness which is well balanced on its own.

Base: Samurai Mate Chai from Teavana
Tea: Chinese Pai Mu Tan from Tea Gschwendner
Add-on: Hibiscus Tea from Tea Gschwendner(better) or Argo(works)
Flavor Add-on: Vanilla extract and Almond Extract

Mix is based on SIZE, not weight.

3 Parts Pai Mu Tan
3 Parts Chai
1 Part Hibiscus (since it can be rather potent stuff)
2-3drops/once of tea for Vanilla and Almond EACH

Shake up the container you put it in and brew at ~280 for just a few minutes to taste.

Voila, and Feel Better!

If you want to know what is in it basically it is:
- Rooibos
- Yerba Mate
- Lemon Grass
- Cinnamon
- Aniseed
- Corriander
- Cardamom
- Corn Flour Blossoms
- Pai Mu Tan
- Hibiscus
- Vanilla Extract
- Almond Extract
- Dried Pinapple
- Orange Peel

Hi and welcome to the forum!

I am thinking you do not mean 280*?

I got a chuckle from your name, not sure if the allusion to "Children of the Corn" was intentional or not however.

Haha - I meant 208!

Yeah the name comes from my occultish following of the french horn - not as much now, but the name stuck!
