LOL - ok. I ordered this set as a reciprocal gift to Tony (ninja) in Belgium. Since I was also ordering for myself I had the set sent directly to him, thinking it should save time since the vendor is on the east coast. No sense sending it to me, then me sending to Europe, that would cause a delay!

So ... six weeks later, it still had not arrived. So I purchased another one and had it sent to me. To which the owner of Jas-eTeas, kindly refunded me. The day after the replacement set arrived to me in CA, the original set arrived in Belgium. Oy! So I refunded Jas-eTeas the refund, it just seemed easier than sending the set back. I was thinking I would at some point pass pieces of it on to someone else, but quickly I realized I have no room to store it.

That's basically the short version.
Heh.

I have the same one.... It is a nice little set for those who have never experimented with a gaiwan.

The picture of the gaiwan is the same one they use at Yunnan Sourcing, and if it's the same gaiwan then I can confirm it is a nice, simple gaiwan.

I'm interested Victoria. That is a great deal for a nice little set.
Can you calculate shipping to Boca Raton, FL 33487?

Unfortunately with all the padding the shipping weight brings it to $8.82 in shipping. I would round down to a flat $23.00.

Would you recommend this or your crackled glaze set for a starter? That one is a buck less, though it doesn't have all of the same components.

Well it kinda depends on what wares you have already. This set has most everything.

But the other set is more versitile, I think. This gaiwan is 100ml and the crackle one is 150ml.

Both are a great price and I don't think either will disappoint.

I'm pretty much starting fresh.
I have a teapot, but I not one overly usable -- more for show. But I don't have a gaiwan so perhaps that would be better, though I do like the crackled glaze and larger capacity. I'm not sure...

Well get this set. And later if you want to add the other gaiwan set, you can get it from the Jas-eTeas store, if mine is sold.
