Ambrose: Worn Out or Broken Chasen

by Ambrose » Jul 19th, '10, 02:50

I want to buy a broken or worn out chasen. One in the brown bamboo would be ideal but not essential. Im going to rework it a bit and use it for something tea related :D

I see ... so you are going to cut off the bristles?

How about just some thicker diameter bamboo?

Yes, and that would work too. I actually went to a park here where they have some bamboo found a nice brown chocolate one but I felt weird walking in the park with a saw in hand  I can cut and make more than one futaoki if you should or others want one. I plan on cutting sanding the cut area smooth and polishing the whole thing with bees wax. Possibly even getting it laser engraved but maybe thats too far :D
