Ally - what LJ communities? I got the idea from CommuniTEA (although I'm running it slightly differently from how ulrica_81 ran that one).

And yay! :)

I joined in a teaswap once on communitea. I sent out my tea to the person I was paired with and never heard from them again, so I became a bit disenheartened by it.

We did a circular thing: I sent to one person and a completely different person sent to me. I've not received my swap yet, but she lives in Canada, so the package may be having some trouble at the border. So every day that I get home, I check the mail to see if the Tea Fairy has left me a gift.

How are you working this one? How many people are in on it so far?

What I'm going to do is wait until I get everybody's tea. I'm going to split it up between everyone that sent (making sure not to send their own tea back to them) and I'll do the same for my contributions. Then I'll just ship them out. No biggie. This way, everyone that contributes is sure to get something back, and everyone gets a sample of what everybody else contributes.

So far, it's Tadiera, LadyArden, Marlene, and Ally. (And you, hopefully?)

Lana Y was interested in swapping whole sample sizes - I don't think she wants to participate in this kind of swap.

So, if I were to send, how much should I put in there?

If you're sending loose-leaf, send five teaspoons of whatever tea(s) you choose to send: one each for me, Tad, LadyA, Marlene, and Ally.

I'll PM you the message I sent to the other girls to give you an idea of what I'm thinking.

Marlene and Ally-

I haven't yet received your tea swaps. I've already received from LadyArden, Alicia, and Tadiera. I don't want to keep them waiting, so I'll swap the teas they've sent me amongst the four of us (me, LadyA, Alicia, and Tad). When I receive your swaps, I'll trade among the three of us (Me, Marlene, and Ally).

If you've already sent your swaps, please let me know and I'll wait another day or so before sending out the swap.

Thanks!

Eek! I did indeed send my swap last week. I suppose it's been lost. That seems to be a problem around here. I wonder if our mailman steals? I'll send off another one this afternoon. I'll send it from the post office so I can be sure it's mailed!

Marlene -

I'm happy to wait a few more days for it to show up. I don't know how long it should take for mail to get to me from where you are. I'll let you know when it shows up!

This sounds very interesting, would like to maybe participate in the next round. I have bought some very interesting teas from the teahouse in my area that you can’t buy on Adagio. Have an organic plum berry white, an organic chai rooibos, and a green morning dew sensha (All expensive but good). I would prefer to have samples thought that both my roommate and I can enjoy that I can’t maybe find on Adagio, he is also a tea-coholic.
