Translate China tea package

by paulcristo » Aug 12th, '14, 22:21

I was gifted a green tea purchased in Hong Kong and I would like to buy more but have no idea what kind it is since the package is in Mandarin (I think). Can anyone translate the package? I've attached a picture.

Thanks!

Paul

If I'm not mistaken, it says Longjing in traditional Chinese. Also, I believe underneath it says the same in Russian. This is known in English as Dragonwell Tea. I've noticed that a lot of English on Chinese packaging likes to slap the generic "Green Tea" on. You can google "dragon well tea" in google image search and check out ot make sure your leaves match.

Around a ten minute walk from here! Looks like quite a touristy operation, but I bet the tea is ok.
