The short answer is: no, green tea will not clean anything out of your system.

The longer answer is: there is almost certainly nothing in your body you need to "cleanse," and there are no "toxins" in your body that any diet or supplement will get rid of.

Medically speaking, there are a few specific cases where some form of toxin removal is necessary. In those rare cases, a doctor will identify the toxin and use real medical technology to remove it: a stomach pump for alcohol poisoning, supervised medical chelation for lead or mercury poisoning, iodine for radiation poisoning, insulin for dangerous levels of blood glucose, antivenin for snakebite, etc.

Unless you've had some sort of specific toxic exposure, it is probably not the case that your body has built up toxins beyond what your liver and kidneys can deal with on a daily basis. Even if there were, you would have to know what toxin was building up to know how to get rid of it; there is no magic bullet that will attack anything that might possibly be bad for you. If the "toxin" is lead, it will need a different treatment than if the "toxin" is asbestos, or PCBs, or fungus.

A good rule of thumb is: if someone tells you something will help you by removing "toxins," ask them which specific substances are causing the problem, and ask them if there has been a peer-reviewed study measuring the levels of these specific substances in the body before and after treatment. If they can't answer either question, save your time and money.

What do you want to clean with tea? Tea has antioxidants, if you eat food loaded with toxins like fast food or from restaurants where the ingredients are a mystery, washing your body with supermarket shampoos loaded with chemicals, no amount of tea can eliminate those from your body, first you need to stop eating food with toxins.... a diet based more on fruits/veggies, avoiding plastic bottled water and canned foods. That leaves you with the only option : to cook for yourself and to filter the water you drink and carry the water with you in glass bottles. Maybe tea can extract some toxins out of your body, but imagine if your kidneys/liver/colon are full of toxins because of poor dietary choices....only cleaning the diet and using organic shampoos like Acure organics that are bio degradable and drinking filtered clean water could help you....tea is great , after you clean your diet.

I have read that detoxing products is actually not scientifically proven thing.

Our bodies it self has well designed for removing toxin from our system effectively (liver, kidneys etc). But drinking tea has definitely beneficial for you in terms of nutrition value you get.

Our bodies were not designed to deal with the amount of toxins we are bombarded with today, that is why people develop cancer, alzheimer, etc...because they can't eliminate toxins as fast as they ingest them daily, so organs get overwhelmed . To eliminate mercury from your body, it would take 25 years of zero exposure...yet we inhale and eat mercury daily, from air pollution and sea food (salmon, tuna...all kinds of fish), chicken, animal farming. Yes, green tea is amazing and it helps, but it has to be clean and organic as well, not with pesticides or loaded with heavy metals.

Antioxidant-rich green tea will not only help your body increase the production of detoxification properties. Whilst also boosting your immune system while protecting your liver from the damaging effects of toxic substances such as alcohol.
